Responsible AI Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
TD Watts Consulting, LLC ("TD Watts") is committed to the ethical, transparent, and responsible development, deployment, and use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This Responsible AI Policy establishes the principles and practices that govern our use of AI in consulting services and internal operations.
1. Our Commitment
We believe AI should augment human expertise, enhance decision-making, and create value for our clients and stakeholders while respecting individual rights, privacy, and societal well-being. We are committed to deploying AI in a manner that is lawful, ethical, and aligned with our core values of integrity, excellence, and accountability.
2. Fairness and Non-Discrimination
- We evaluate AI systems for potential bias and disparate impact across demographic groups.
- We use diverse and representative data where feasible to minimize algorithmic bias.
- We do not use AI to make discriminatory decisions based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- We regularly assess AI outputs for fairness and take corrective action when issues are identified.
3. Transparency and Explainability
We strive to ensure that AI-assisted outputs are explainable and that stakeholders understand when and how AI is used. We disclose AI involvement in our processes where it materially impacts decisions or deliverables. See our AI Transparency Statement for details.
4. Human Oversight
- AI systems operate under human supervision; meaningful human review precedes significant decisions.
- Personnel using AI tools are trained on their capabilities, limitations, and appropriate use.
- Automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects are subject to human review.
5. Privacy and Data Protection
We protect personal data used in AI systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Processing & Security Statement. Personal data is used in AI systems only where there is a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards are in place.
6. Accountability
TD Watts maintains accountability for all AI systems we deploy. We designate responsible personnel for AI oversight, maintain documentation of AI use cases and risk assessments, and establish clear lines of responsibility for AI-related decisions.
7. Security and Reliability
We test AI systems for reliability, robustness, and security before deployment. We monitor performance in production and establish protocols for identifying, reporting, and mitigating AI failures or unintended outcomes.
8. Continuous Improvement
We continuously review and improve our AI practices in response to technological advancements, regulatory developments, and emerging best practices. We engage with stakeholders to understand concerns and incorporate feedback into our AI governance framework.
9. Prohibited Uses
We do not use AI for:
- Mass surveillance or tracking of individuals without appropriate legal basis.
- Manipulation or exploitation of vulnerable populations.
- Generating deceptive or fraudulent content.
- Any purpose that violates applicable law or our ethical standards.
